Interesting story about people supporting each other in a time of crisis. The book had a great number of syntax and spelling errors but was still enjoyable.Product details

The Light in The Lake Prepper Trilogy Book 3 eBook Ron Foster Cheryl Chamlies Reviews
The third book was just as poorly edited as the other two. Which is such a disappointment, they all could have been so much better if the author would have had someone edit them for him. The story itself isn't very exciting, nothing unexpected or bad happens. It is all planned, scripted and directed by the main character as he is the only one who has more than an ounce of ability or knowledge. The only good thing about it is that it does make you start to think some about some of the things that can happen and some of the possibilities.
Have purchased dozens of books from without ever leaving comments/reviews. Many times reviews include negitives re poor editing, grammer...etc...Frankly, such "warnings" have not bothered or kept me from purchasing book if genre was what I was looking for. However, through seemingly diligent effort this author has pushed it to near total absurdity. Poor grammer, ok, run on sentences, ok, no editing, ok but a good portion this short book is unreadable--example from page 2 or so "humm
ithought, ithinkmaybeImightwasteabitofammunitionandrapidfireoffamagofsomethingjustoto"..........................This, goes on for pages. Very hard to decipher. Not worth the purchase price folks. Author, appears to have knowledge of topic, but 20 minutes of review/edit/care would have made a significant difference and made for a book worth reading AND paying for.WOW.
I love all Ron's books, the characters are are detailed, and his knowledge, and tips are real world things that you can use.
this is an easy read; and it gets to the human side of life off grid, after shtf..
the story line is easy to fallow, and its teaches you prepping too..
It was difficult to find a plot. The writing was awkward. I never did figure out what the light in the Lake was in reality. The book was impossible to read. Did someone edit it? the author should have let a non related..non friend read it, even if a price had to be paid. With the book lacking any continuity at all, then it would seem sitting down and down a simple outline of events would have helped. Things should happen in sequence.
I enjoy "end of the world as we know it" novels. I have bought a lot from . I have one entire bookcase dedicated to Science Fiction genre books. Ron Foster has talent. But he should sign up for a creative writing course at the closest Junior College he can find. Or read S.M. Stirling. That is how it is done. Good Luck to him.
I ignored the grammar and spelling issues in the first two books but they are starting to grate now. The way 'bowl' flips back and forth to 'bowel' on the same page just shows laziness on the author's part and that's just one example.
What is worse to me is the lack of development of the characters. Everybody seems to have become a backdrop for the main character to lecture and order around. Add to that the juvenile behavior of a fifty-something man who sees himself as the community leader and his inability to control his alcohol intake...this book is frankly a boring mess.
Had some good info and was interesting. Typos were atrocious, needed a good spell check, Not sure it had great depth to it. was good, but had the potential to be really great. Liked the first two better.
Interesting story about people supporting each other in a time of crisis. The book had a great number of syntax and spelling errors but was still enjoyable.
